How it works – simple & efficient

Bring in or choose your colour inspiration – a swatch, fabric, wallpaper, colour chart or even just the name of the Dulux paint colour.
Choose the paint type and size: we stock a large variety of the Dulux range including the most popular; EasyCare washable and tough and Heritage range.
Our staff will input the colour into the machine and mix your paint on-site. This will only take a few minutes.
We’ll seal the tin, label it with the exact colour code, give it a good shake in our mixing machine and send you away ready to complete your projects.

Tips for best results

Ensure the surface you’ll be painting is clean, dry and primed (where necessary) — a well-prepared surface greatly improves the final look.
After opening your paint, store it properly and keep the colour code safe — you can reorder the exact same mix later if needed.
When colour matching, we advise a 250ml tester tin to ensure you are happy with the colour, before committing to a larger size.
Using the correct equipment, such a good quality brush or roller, will ensure the best results.

Pop in store during our regular hours (Monday–Saturday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm) or call us on 01603 714341 to discuss your project. The machine is in our new decorating centre, and we can mix while you wait. Any member of staff will be able to assist.

Q: How long does the mixing process take?
- A: Once you’ve chosen your colour and the amount of paint you require, the mixing will take just a few minutes.
Q: Can I bring my own tin, and have it filled?
- A: No. We can only mix using our stock of Dulux tins to ensure full quality.
Q: Is there an extra cost for custom mixes?
- A: We work on standard Dulux pricing structures. The cost of the tinting service is built into the pricing — talk to us in-store for the exact cost for your size & finish.
Q: What if I need a large quantity?
- A: No problem — where possible, we stock a range of different tin sizes. This means we can mix larger tins for bigger projects.
